Deer Hunting
 Thank you for your interest in our whitetail hunts. We offer 6 day hunts during the rut in Nov. and early Dec. We hunt forest fringe country in the western part of the province. One of the major advantages about this area, is that it borders the farmland, so there is a high deer population and quality feed for the deer as they are growing their antlers. We hunt in heated ground and elevated stands. Hunting in thick, “big bush” country, the deer feel comfortable moving during daylight hours, offering our hunters plenty of activity in a typical day. It is not unusual for a hunter to see up to 20 different bucks in a single day. All of our hunters are given hand held radios, so they can keep in contact with their guide. This is important because if a hunter is successful, he can radio his guide to come, and we can retrieve the deer, and get good quality photos during daylight hours. Another great thing about how and where we hunt is that we see deer all throughout the day, not just at first and last light. As a matter of fact, we probably take 70% of our bucks within two hours of midday. Our hunts run from Mon, to Sat. You will need to fly into Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. You will be picked up on Sun. morning and we will drive approx. 150 miles, where you will be met by the guides, and shown to you room. After you get settled in, and unpack, we will head out so you can check the zero on you rifle. After a hearty dinner, and some socializing, it’s off to bed for a good night’s sleep. We at Wrightway are very proud of our record of return clients. Over the years, an average of 8 out of ten hunters are repeat clients. Most of our hunters have been with us for 5 years or longer. We have quite a few members in our “ten year club”. When it comes to knowledge of our area, hunting, tracking, and choosing stand sites for our hunters, I am proud to say that our guides are second to none. Waterfowl Hunting
 We offer 3 day waterfowl hunts which consist of 3 morning goose shoots and 2 afternoon duck shoots out of wheat, pea, oat or barley fields. Our hunts start September 1st and run through the 3rd week of October. Our area harbours a large population of resident Greater Canadas with a number of Lesser Canadas, Speckled Bellies (white fronted geese), Snows and Ross’ geese migrating throughout the season. Our hunting area is located in the north western grain belt of Saskatchewan. Knowing that quality of equipment can affect the success of the hunt, we use the latest in decoys and blinds. We use GHG Ground Force coffin style lay down blinds and our goose decoys are GHG Flocked Head full bodies along with Real-Geese silhouettes. The duck decoys are G&H and GHG shells as well as Real-Geese Mallard silhouettes and Lucky Duck Motion decoys. The fields we hunt are some of the first the migrating geese encounter on their journey south. Of course, the advantage is these geese have seen little or no hunting pressure which helps attribute to our high success rate.
Your day will start off with coffee and juice in the early morning after which you will head out to our chosen field which was pre-scouted by our spotters. After enjoying the goose/duck shoot, we will head in for brunch. The early afternoon includes some relaxation or a nap, and then we will head out for an afternoon duck shoot to finish off our limit. Our day ends with a hearty dinner and stories of the day’s events. |

Pre-Hunt Accommodations:
Our bird hunts run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Hunters need to fly into Edmonton, AB or Saskatoon, SK the day prior to their hunt, rent a vehicle and drive to the hunting area. |
